Features: With the development and progress of society, people have increasingly focused on improving their spiritual and cultural qualities while enjoying modern material life. Since the early 1980s, calligraphy with hard tools has been widely welcomed and loved for its practicality, aesthetic appeal, and ease of writing. This emerging art, like a gentle breeze, has swept across the land of reform and opening up. Today, numerous calligraphers have emerged across the country, dedicating themselves to the education and research of calligraphy, thereby promoting its development as a whole. Moreover, various large, medium, and small calligraphy activities are held nationwide, and many schools have even set up specialized calligraphy education courses. Writing beautiful and elegant calligraphy has become a goal pursued by modern people. Out of a natural passion, I developed an unbreakable bond with calligraphy from a young age and have always aspired to achieve something in this field, a desire that continues to this day. In the past few months, I have gathered and compiled some of my experiences and insights from my writing practice, dedicating this book to the many young people, students, and educators who are eager to improve their pen calligraphy. After reviewing the majority of currently published calligraphy textbooks, both for hard tools and some for brush calligraphy, and distilling the essence while discarding the mediocre, the book provides in-depth yet accessible introductions to the strokes and components of regular and running script calligraphy, accompanied by works to help readers create their own calligraphy while studying. This is intended to enhance their interest in calligraphy and broaden their understanding of the art. To assist readers who wish to learn about cursive script, I have included a cursive script Thousand-Character Classic at the end of this book, annotated with simplified characters. I hope that readers will gain further inspiration and benefits from this ancient text, laying a solid foundation for understanding and mastering cursive script. Due to my limited knowledge and the urgency of time, this book may have imperfections, and I sincerely hope for the guidance of experts and readers. If this book is well-received by all, I will be deeply gratified.
