Features: The Ministry of Health commissioned the Chinese Medical Association to develop clinical diagnosis and treatment guidelines for various disciplines, aiming to improve disease diagnosis and treatment levels, standardize clinical practices, and enhance medical quality. The Infectious Diseases Branch of the Chinese Medical Association organized renowned infectious disease experts from across the country to write the "Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Infectious Diseases," based on theories, knowledge, clinical experience, and latest advancements in infectious diseases both domestically and internationally. The book covers 7 chapters and 47 common infectious diseases in China, primarily focusing on Class A and B notifiable infectious diseases, as well as some Class C diseases, and includes newly emerging infectious diseases in recent years, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), highly pathogenic avian influenza, and Streptococcus suis infection in humans. Each infectious disease is introduced with an overview (definition, etiology, epidemiology, and prevention), clinical manifestations, key diagnostic points, treatment principles, and protocols. An appendix is also provided, including: the use of antimicrobial drugs, incubation periods, isolation periods, and observation periods for various infectious diseases, common disinfection methods, immunization prevention, and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" promulgated in 2004. The content is designed to be clear, concise, and focused, aligning with the principles of scientific rigor, advancement, and practicality.
