Features: More than 20 years ago, when I was teaching at the former Beijing College of Commerce, the teaching and research of industrial economics with a focus on circulation economy and service economy was the core of the discipline and professional development of the school. Today, Beijing Technology and Business University, formed by the merger of the former Beijing Light Industry College and the former Beijing College of Commerce, has inherited historical advantages. Its industrial economics, as a key discipline of Beijing, has achieved even more fruitful results after years of development. When the academic monograph series "Innovative Research in Industrial Economics" written by young and middle-aged scholars of Beijing Technology and Business University is published, I am naturally willing to write the preface. Industrial economics is the study of the organization, structure, management, policy, and development laws of industries in the economic field. Western economics defines it as a "mesoeconomics" between microeconomics and macroeconomics. In China, industrial economics is one of the most active and productive fields in economic theoretical research in recent years. It almost involves all fields of production and circulation and is directly related to the operation and development of the national economy. This book defines the categories of modern service industries—financial services, brokerage services, legal services, information and consulting services, exhibition and convention services, and tourism—and systematically analyzes their emergence, current development status, problems, etc. under this framework, making it have high theoretical and practical value.
