Can people with epilepsy take pinworm medicine?

Patient's question:

Recently, I've been feeling stomach pain all the time. I used to have epilepsy, but after a thorough examination, they said I have a little roundworm. Can people with epilepsy take roundworm medicine?

Doctor's answer:

It's perfectly fine to take parasiticidal drugs under normal circumstances. As long as there are parasites in his digestive system, you can take the parasiticidal medication as usual. Typically, you take it before taking a nap and then again after a week. This has nothing to do with epilepsy. Epilepsy is an abnormality in brain pulses. Currently, epilepsy seizures do not frequently recur. If necessary, you can have an electroencephalogram (EEG) checked during a seizure. Additionally, it's necessary to confirm the type of retention and identify the cause or location of brain damage. However, in clinical diagnosis, about 1/3 of patients attempt to find evidence through various examinations but only observe episodes, with examination indicators remaining normal. Be cautious to avoid catching colds, and avoid consuming extremely cold, spicy, or irritating foods. Foods containing hormones should also be avoided.
