The first selection includes Needle Eye, Silent Joe, The Unsolveable Heart, Promised Land, and The Rose of the Simarón River. These works, within their clever plots and intense suspense, also incorporate the author's deep concern for society and humanity, adding depth and significance to detective novels beyond the intellectual game and pursuit of truth. And all of this will make our reading directly stimulate the nerves and permeate the soul. This volume is Promised Land. Due to municipal planning, I had to move my office out of the city center.
