Features: With the continuous deepening of educational reform, people have gradually realized that experiments are not only the foundation of physics research but also the foundation of physics teaching. To enable a large number of secondary school physics teachers to recognize the importance of physics experiments and to implement them, it is far from enough to study the improvement of secondary school physics experiments from a technical perspective. It is necessary to study the objectives, tasks, content, methods, and characteristics of secondary school physics experimental teaching from an educational perspective, comprehensively and with focus. It is also essential to invest significant effort in cultivating future teachers—teacher trainees. They must firmly establish the idea of experimentation as the foundation, master the necessary experimental techniques and skills, and possess strong hands-on experimental abilities and research capabilities for teaching experiments. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully study the content and methods of teaching experiment courses for physics majors in teacher training institutions, make them more perfect, and make them suitable for current needs. The Department of Physics at Beijing Normal University has been offering teaching experiment courses for decades, and the teaching materials have been revised multiple times and printed thousands of copies. On this basis, to further promote the research and development of experimental teaching among secondary school physics teachers and students in teacher training institutions, we have compiled this book, "Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools." It strives to explore theoretical and research methods of experimental teaching under the guidance of the theory, ideas, and methods of physics and the teaching theory of pedagogy. The book is divided into four chapters:
1. General Introduction to Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools. This chapter outlines the objectives, tasks, types, and requirements of experimental teaching.
2. Research on Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools. This chapter focuses on summarizing the role, requirements, objectives, requirements, and management of demonstration experiments in secondary school physics teaching, as well as student group experiments.
3. Skill Training for Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools. This chapter lists 16 representative training experiments.
4. Basic Techniques and Common Instruments for Physics Experiments. This chapter outlines the basic techniques frequently used in teaching experiments and the common instruments used in secondary school physics experiments.
The content of this book includes: General Introduction to Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools, Research on Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools, Skill Training for Experimental Teaching of Physics in Secondary Schools, and Basic Techniques and Common Instruments for Physics Experiments.
