Features: On December 15, 2004, the Ministry of Education promulgated the "Teacher Education Technology Ability Standards for Primary and Secondary Schools (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as "The Standards"). The promulgation and implementation of "The Standards" are necessary conditions for the professional development of teachers, a requirement for the reform of basic education curricula, and a need for the standardization of teacher training. To facilitate the understanding and learning of "The Standards" by a broad range of primary and secondary school teachers, the Department of Normal Education of the Ministry of Education organized the National Expert Committee on Teacher Education Informatization to compile "The Interpretation of the Teacher Education Technology Ability Standards for Primary and Secondary Schools" (hereinafter referred to as "The Interpretation"). "The Interpretation" not only provides in-depth and accessible explanations and elaborations on the items in "The Standards" but also includes numerous practical cases written by frontline teachers and experts. Its purpose is to enable primary and secondary school teachers to fully understand "The Standards" and correctly apply them. It aims not only to know "what" but also "why," not only to adapt but also to flexibly apply them. "The Interpretation" is divided into three volumes ("Interpretation of the Teacher Education Technology Ability Standards for Teaching Personnel," "Interpretation of the Teacher Education Technology Ability Standards for Administrative Personnel," and "Interpretation of the Teacher Education Technology Ability Standards for Technical Personnel"). All three volumes consist of six chapters, with chapter titles largely being the same. Chapter 1 explains the background of the formulation of "The Standards"; Chapter 2 interprets the "Awareness and Attitude" section of the corresponding standards; Chapter 3 interprets the "Knowledge and Skills" section of the corresponding standards; Chapter 4 interprets the "Application and Innovation" section of the corresponding standards; Chapter 5 interprets the "Social Responsibility" section of the standards; and Chapter 6 presents application cases of the corresponding standards.
