Features: China's papermaking industry is in a period of rapid development, with the growth in papermaking industry output value exceeding the growth rate of the national GDP during the same period. In 2005, China's paper and paperboard production reached 56 million tons, attracting significant attention from the global papermaking industry. However, on the other hand, the rapid development of China's papermaking industry is severely constrained by issues such as resources, energy, and the environment. Therefore, promoting cleaner production in China's papermaking industry is the only way to achieve sustainable development and has become a widespread consensus among the majority of papermaking professionals in China. Given the vigorous development of cleaner production in China's papermaking industry, it is necessary to offer courses on cleaner production in the undergraduate teaching of light industry and chemical engineering at universities. Under the commission of the Light Industry and Chemical Engineering Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, this book, "Principles and Technology of Cleaner Production in the Papermaking Industry," was compiled by South China University of Technology as the main editor, in collaboration with Nanjing Forestry University, Dalian Light Industry University, Shandong Light Industry University, and other institutions, as the textbook for this course. To comprehensively elaborate on the theoretical system of cleaner production in the papermaking industry and introduce cleaner production technologies, this book collects a substantial amount of data and covers a wide range of content. As a textbook for undergraduate teaching, universities can select and adapt the content based on their actual teaching needs. For convenience in teaching, this book also includes chapter summaries and certain review questions for reference.
