It adopts brand-new listening materials and pays more attention to the overall thematic layout across the four volumes. This book is the third volume, containing twelve units. The chapter structure and purpose of each unit are largely consistent with the first two volumes. However, the selection of content reflects different emphases: the first volume focuses on outlining some macro changes and characteristics of contemporary society, with a broader perspective and larger themes; the content of the second volume primarily revolves around the healthy growth of students in terms of their professional development, cultural refinement, and physical fitness, with a focus on the student as the subject, topics that are close to daily life, and are easily relatable and inspiring for reflection; while the third volume guides students' attention toward the world, including news reports and achievements introductions from various fields such as international politics, economy, science and technology, and transportation, helping them expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons.
