Features: Agriculture is not only a material industry but also a highly multifunctional "permanent industry" with extremely intense transformation and change throughout history, especially since the Industrial Revolution. It has attracted special attention from human society for the following five reasons: First, agriculture is a "food industry" that sustains human life. Second, it is also an "ecological environment industry" with the widest and deepest impact on terrestrial and near-sea landscapes, forcing people to link agricultural development with the broad changes in human ecological environments. Third, unlike other industries, agriculture is a "perennial" industry with extensive industrial economic links and complex, large-scale industrial chains. Fourth, agriculture is a "farmer's industry." Finally, it is also the most significant change since humanity entered the 21st century: through the "Agriculture Agreement" of the WTO, agriculture in various countries is shifting from classical "experiential agriculture" (mainly in developing countries) or modern "standardized agriculture" (mainly in developed countries) to "sustainable global agriculture." This transformation is not only a new stage in the integration and development of world agriculture but also a challenge with uncertain competitive prospects for all parties. Based on the future trends of global agricultural competition and development, especially the unique complexity, difficulty, and long-term nature of driving this process forward, we proposed the research topic "Agricultural Globalization and the Development of Gansu Agriculture." With the support of the Provincial Education Department, we conducted preliminary research on this highly significant topic, hoping to provide a relatively clear understanding of Gansu agriculture's adaptation to global competition and development. We also strive for breakthroughs in certain aspects, aiming to offer a regional model for reference and critique for fellow researchers and academic professionals to further this research. Additionally, we provide decision-making references with theoretical foundations for agricultural management departments to promote the faster development of Gansu agriculture. Through the research project, we compiled and organized preliminary results into this book. The book consists of twelve chapters. The foundational part primarily studies and discusses topics such as "Agricultural Globalization Development," "International Norms of Agricultural Globalization Development," "Analysis of China's Agricultural Globalization Development," "Analysis of Gansu Agriculture's Adaptation to Globalization Development," and "Agricultural Globalization Development and Increasing Farmers' Income." The strategic part primarily proposes strategies for Gansu agriculture to adapt to globalization development, including "Institutional Innovation Strategy," "Technology-Driven Agriculture Strategy," "Strategic Adjustment and Optimization," "Industrialized Operation Strategy," "Urbanization Strategy," "Market Innovation and Development Strategy," and "Sustainable Development Strategy."
