Why is internal ejaculation different from external ejaculation

Patient's question:

Why is there a difference between internal and external ejaculation?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Retrograde ejaculation is also known as intravesical ejaculation. Retrograde ejaculation refers to the condition where a patient experiences sexual desire climax and ejaculation sensation during intercourse, but no semen is expelled from the urethral meatus. It is usually caused by damage to some muscles around the genital area, prostate surgery, or urethral injuries. Since retrograde ejaculation does not introduce semen into the vagina during sexual activity, women cannot become pregnant through this normal sexual intercourse. In contrast, coitus interruptus can complete this process. Wishing you good health!
