Patient's question:
Last month, when I went to the hospital for a check-up, I found out that I had a prostate sarcoma. The ultrasound showed that my prostate had enlarged and was already protruding into the bladder. During this period, urination has become increasingly difficult, and sometimes I also experience a sharp, burning sensation. The doctor recommended surgery, but I don't have complete confidence in it. Currently, I am still taking medication.Doctor's answer:
Early-stage lesions are best treated surgically. For patients with localized disease confined to the prostate capsule without local invasion, radical prostatectomy is the first-line treatment. For patients with local invasion of the bladder, urethra, or rectum without distant metastasis, pelvic exenteration may be performed if conditions permit.
