Patient's question:
Patient is male, 39 years old,Doctor's answer:
The following conditions should undergo circumcision:1. Fibrous stricture ring at the meatus of the prepuce;
2. Recurrent balanoposthitis;
3. Stricture of the meatus of the prepuce after the age of 6, where the prepuce cannot retract to expose the glans penis. In some ethnic groups, boys undergo circumcision shortly after birth.
Sometimes phimosis may not be severe, but there is mild adhesion between the prepuce and the glans penis. In such cases, it is recommended to regularly assist the child in retracting the prepuce upward and promptly clean off any whitish discharge. However, the prepuce should be returned to its original position promptly after retraction, otherwise it may lead to paraphimosis. Regularly retracting the prepuce can widen the meatus. Over time, the glans penis will be fully exposed externally.
