Features: This book is co-authored by Robinna and Gorden Sprit, a couple. Professor Gorden Sprit has long been engaged in music education and has served as the Head of Department at the University of Queensland in Australia. He has also been a senior examiner for the Australian National Music Examination Board for nearly 50 years and is currently the Chair of the Music Examination Textbook Committee of this board. The board is officially recognized by the University of Cambridge in the UK as a regional examination board for music exams. Due to his outstanding contributions to music, Professor Sprit was awarded the Order of Australia by the Australian government. Robinna Sprit is a pianist, and many of the music games and most of the illustrations in this book were designed by her. The book is easy to learn and progresses step by step, making it suitable for both individual study and classroom learning. Each lesson introduces some music knowledge, but the focus of the entire book is on learning the staff notation and related music theory through exercises. The exercises include fill-in-the-blanks, drawing instruments, puzzles, true-or-false identification, and more. The author hopes that these game-based exercises will be more engaging for students than rigid Q&A. A "little music mouse" accompanies the child's musical journey. This mouse is drawn at the end of each lesson, holding a scorecard and asking the child if they have finished their homework. The teacher or parent can grade the child's work by writing the score on the mouse's scorecard, stamping it, or sticking a label on it to encourage the child. Learning music theory must be as closely tied to actual sounds as possible. Singing, dancing, and listening to music can enhance a child's imagination and creativity. The ultimate goal of this music theory system series is to cultivate a child's sense of rhythm and pitch, their understanding of musical language, and their love for music.
