Features: This book is a monograph that conducts specialized research on the Hmong people from a "transnational" perspective. The research was funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, with the project title "Transnational Hmong and the International Community Research" (Approval No. 96CMZ006). The Hmong people are a minority ethnic group originating in China, living across more than ten countries in regions such as China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Due to their unique historical origins, sociocultural characteristics, and influence on the countries they reside in, they hold a typical significance in ethnic theory research. The author combs and analyzes a large amount of domestic and foreign literature, combining field research, and employs multidisciplinary theories and knowledge to explore the transnational nature of the Hmong people from multiple angles. This achievement breaks through the traditional paradigms of Hmong studies and is pioneering in the field of Hmong research. The author also conducts theoretical analysis through specific research on this ethnic group, offering innovative insights and research on transnational ethnic theories, the relationship between ethnic groups and states, and the migration and settlement of China's ethnic minorities abroad. Many ethnic groups in China are transnational, playing a significant role in the social life and foreign relations of the nation. On a global scale, transnational ethnic issues often become hot topics of concern for the international community and academia. This research, using the transnational Hmong as a case study, holds important practical significance.
