Economy. Culture and Development -- A Series of Reading Articles

Features: The articles collected in this volume are not all related to economics. Some discuss economic history and social development, a few touch on the field of sociocultural studies, and others concern the teaching career and experiences at Peking University. Of course, there are also a significant number of economics-related articles, as this is my area of expertise. Back then, I was not part of the group of students who were "high-scoring but low-capability." Should we continue to train such "high-scoring but low-capability" economics professionals? Should our economics journals continue to publish articles that merely repeat what others have said without offering any original perspectives? Therefore, it can be predicted that a significant change will manifest in the style of economic works in socialist economics research in the future. Those economics papers composed of either "quoted others' sayings" or "unquoted others' sayings" will no longer have readers, as readers will realize on their own that reading such articles is a waste of time.
