The publication of these teaching materials has undergone strict planning, discussion, selection, writing, editing, and revision processes. Led by top professors, experts, and academic leaders, they maintain high quality standards, with the collective efforts of teaching and research backbone forces. Each textbook systematically and accurately explains the basic principles and theories of its discipline, achieving a unified combination of knowledge, scientificity, and systematicity. They can be described as "gathering the wisdom of experts to form classic common views." The publication of these teaching materials has played a very important role in promoting the development of law education in China and has been highly praised by readers, the legal community, and the academic world. Textbooks are a systematic reflection of academic development, teaching, and research achievements in a certain period. Therefore, with the continuous advancement of research and the ongoing development of teaching practices, textbooks must be continuously revised. Many classic textbooks internationally are revised every few years, evolving from the first to the fifth, the twentieth edition, etc., keeping pace with the times, maturing, and becoming increasingly perfect, ultimately becoming classics and widely circulated. This has become a pattern in textbook compilation. Since the publication of "Planned Teaching Materials for Higher Colleges of Political Science and Law," it has been over a decade. This series of textbooks has been revised multiple times, with many of them winning various national awards for excellent teaching materials from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, and other relevant departments. Due to its long history and substantial accumulation, it has formed its own unique scientific, systematic, and stable textbook system. In law education, it has maintained the continuity and inheritance of academic development while promptly incorporating new research findings, promoting the development and popularization of the discipline. It has become the most influential series of undergraduate law textbooks in China today. In the 21st century, governing the country according to the law and building a socialist rule-of-law state are China's basic strategies. To better adapt to the development of law education in the new century and to meet the challenges of the new era, especially the various new legal issues arising from China's entry into the WTO, we have revised this series of textbooks comprehensively, incorporating the new developments in legal construction in recent years, as well as new achievements and experiences in domestic and international law research and education. We believe that the newly revised planned textbooks will provide more effective assistance to teachers and students.
