Features: Basketball has been widely popular and has developed deeply worldwide. To ensure this sport remains attractive and vibrant, and to achieve unity and standardization through continuous development, FIBA has made continuous modifications to the rules in recent years. On May 25, 2003, the FIBA Central Board Meeting approved the amendments to the 2000 rules and decided to officially implement them worldwide starting October 1. The new rules have been translated and approved by the Chinese Basketball Association. All international and domestic competitions, as well as various basketball referee advancement examinations, will be conducted according to these rules.
