Mechanical Drawing Exercise Book. 4th Edition

Publishing Time: Not available
Features: This exercise book is revised based on the 3rd edition and is designed to be used alongside the medium-vocational teaching material planning textbook "Mechanical Drawing" (4th edition) edited by Wang Qichang. The revision is based on the "Teaching Syllabus for Mechanical Drawing in Vocational and Technical Schools" promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2000, taking into account the needs of students and graduates in their respective fields. While retaining the features of the 3rd edition, it further emphasizes reading as the main focus, integrating reading and drawing training. Each chapter is accompanied by a certain number of reading exercises to ensure continuous reading practice for students, overcoming the learning difficulties caused by "jumping" in reading and enabling a spiral improvement in reading skills. To enhance reading ability and address difficulties in visualization, the training methods adopt an effective and vivid approach, such as stretching views and thickening feature surfaces for rapid reading, as well as converting abstract thinking into more concrete methods like convex/concave shaping, shape cutting, and surface assembly. The reading exercises are designed with a focus on brain-intensive, less hands-on, multiple-choice questions, and fewer drawing tasks, with carefully selected problems to maximize effective training time. The book also increases and strengthens the training on reading section views, cross-section views, and part drawings. After studying this exercise book, students are expected to develop a solid foundation and basic abilities in reading. The book reduces the frequency and requirements for students to draw formal assignments, emphasizing sketching training. This exercise book adopts the new "Technical Drawing" and "Mechanical Drawing" national standards. It is suitable for use as a drafting textbook in mechanical and near-mechanical disciplines in medium-vocational schools (full-time general vocational schools, vocational high schools, and technical schools), as well as for reference by students in similar disciplines in other engineering colleges and engineering technicians.
