Features: When organizing mathematical competition activities, mathematicians often have some subjective considerations: First, within each age group, there will always be some children who feel "not challenged enough" in math class. It is necessary to design something for these "high-achieving" students to provide them with opportunities. Of course, this should be a very small group of people, and the most important thing is that they must genuinely have an interest in mathematics. In other words, the Mathematical Olympiad is not an activity that every student needs to participate in, but rather an event for those who are "high-achieving and interested" in mathematics. "High-achieving" emphasizes the need to first master classroom knowledge before expanding into extracurricular learning; "interested" refers to having a genuine interest in mathematics, just as there are many "high-achieving" students who engage in painting, playing musical instruments, and singing. As long as these two aspects are well combined, there will naturally be no sense of burden. Second, mathematical competitions are merely an activity and should not be taken too seriously. It is important to approach them with a "balanced perspective." Finally, the selection of materials should be concise and not overly comprehensive. The purpose of this activity is to create an environment and atmosphere for students, provide guidance on problem-solving methods, and enable students to achieve a "transformation" in their understanding through the discussion of typical, highly exploratory problems, ultimately leading to an improvement in their overall quality. Classroom teaching is aimed at the majority and is a fundamental requirement. Mathematical extracurricular activities, however, are different because they are designed for a small group of students. This provides educators with a platform to explore broader content, materials that might otherwise be considered too advanced for middle and primary school classrooms can be tested within this context first. This allows for the accumulation of experience, and if successful, the next steps can be taken.
