Features: When mathematicians organize math competition activities, they have some subjective considerations: First, within each age group, there will always be some children who feel "not challenged enough" in math class. It is necessary to design something for these "high-achieving" students to provide them with opportunities. Of course, this should be a very small proportion of the group, and the key is that they must genuinely have an interest in mathematics. In other words, the Mathematical Olympiad is not an activity that every student needs to participate in, but rather an event for students who are "high-achieving and interested." "High-achieving" emphasizes the need to first master the in-class knowledge before exploring extracurricular knowledge; "interested" refers to having a genuine interest in mathematics, just as there are many "high-achieving" students who are passionate about painting, playing musical instruments, and singing. As long as these two aspects are well combined, there will naturally be no sense of burden. Second, math competitions are merely an activity and should not be taken too seriously. It is important to approach them with a "balanced perspective." Finally, the selection of materials should be concise and not overly comprehensive. The purpose of this activity is to create an environment and atmosphere for students, provide guidance on problem-solving methods, and enable students to achieve a "transcendence" in their understanding through the discussion of typical and highly exploratory problems. This ultimately leads to an improvement in their overall quality. Classroom teaching is aimed at the majority and is a fundamental requirement. However, math extracurricular activities are different, as they are designed for a small group of students. This provides educators with a platform to explore broader content, materials that might otherwise be deemed too advanced for middle and high school classrooms can be tested within this context. This allows for the accumulation of experience, and once successful, the next steps can be taken.
