It proposes a mandatory reading list of literary masterpieces for middle school students outside of class. It requires students to consciously read these famous supplementary materials in addition to diligently studying their language textbooks. After all, the reading materials learned in class are still too limited and can only serve as guidance for learning and discussion. For this fundamental and important subject of the mother tongue, which students will use throughout their lives and must continuously improve their understanding and mastery of, a lack of necessary reading materials and the habit of striving for excellence can only be insufficient with only a few materials learned in class.
