Features: This series is designed to be used in conjunction with the supplementary Chinese teaching material "Composition" for primary and secondary schools. During the writing process, we strive to embody the following characteristics:
1. Targeted Approach: Many students experience slow improvement in their writing skills. What is the root cause? Through analysis and research, we found that a key reason is inadequate and ill-suited guidance. This series addresses the key and difficult issues in the writing learning process of primary and secondary school students, inviting experienced teachers and experts with years of experience in composition teaching (research) to provide guidance. Each volume begins with "Words from Experts" and "Introduction by Renowned Teachers," which offer guidance and explanations on the content, helping students easily grasp the essence of the model essays and improve their writing skills through practice. This better fulfills the teaching requirements for composition stipulated in the Chinese teaching for primary and secondary schools, truly broadens the writing horizons of students, integrates reading and writing organically, and comprehensively and effectively enhances writing ability.
2. Novelty: The model essays selected in this book are newly written by renowned authors and outstanding compositions from national competitions and college entrance exams in the past two years. They cover a wide range, full content, and fresh perspectives, encompassing the rich and diverse lives of families, schools, and society. These essays align with the psychological characteristics and cognitive levels of primary and secondary school students, closely reflecting their emotional world. These model essays represent the best level of primary and secondary school students at the turn of the century, with strong contemporary appeal and providing valuable material for students to learn from and emulate.
3. Series Structure: What kind of composition guidance books do primary and secondary school students most desire? This is the key focus of our research in compiling this series. Primary school is a foundational stage, and composition teaching must align with the psychological characteristics and cognitive levels of young students. Based on this, the primary school section revolves around the central theme of "Childlike Innocence and Playfulness," divided into four volumes: "Ordinary People," "Familiar Events," "Scenes and Objects," and "Exercises in Fragments." Junior high school is a stage of accumulation and improvement, where students have the opportunity to participate in various composition competitions while preparing for the junior high school entrance exam. Based on these practical activities, the junior high section is divided into four volumes: "Learning and Accumulation," "Exercises in Excellent Compositions," "Exam Room Compositions," and "Competition Winners." High school primarily focuses on preparing for the college entrance exam. Following the concept of the "Development Level" in the college entrance exam composition, and based on the four evaluation criteria for the exam: "Literary Talent," "Innovation," "Vivid Imagery," and "Profound Insight," the high school section is divided into four volumes. This series thus forms a progressive and systematic training program.
