Features: The classic yellow-type three-yellow chickens refer to high-quality local landrace three-yellow chickens without foreign bloodlines, such as the Nuodeng chicken from Cenxi, the Xindu chicken from He County, and the Da'an chicken from Pingnan. This book is the first to use the term "classic type," which refers to the characteristics of these chickens as described in customs as "rice shrimp head, grapefruit body, and iron wire legs." The rice shrimp head implies a small head, the grapefruit body implies a large hindquarters, and the iron wire legs imply fine tibias. These features differ from modern fast-growing meat chickens, which have a short and wide body, broad chests, large feet, and require minimal body fat and a short growth period. In contrast, three-yellow meat chickens require a layer of subcutaneous fat and moderate tail fat, with growth that should not be too rapid. Professor Pan Guangsui mentioned the term "classic type" in a report, and I believe it is appropriate, so I have continued to use it. Although the term "three-yellow chicken" is not entirely accurate, it has become customary, so it is still used. These three-yellow chickens are traditional famous chickens supplied to Hong Kong and Macau from Guangxi, and they have always been favored in the Guangxi and Guangdong markets. This breed has a long history, elegant appearance, and excellent meat quality. In the past, they were raised by farmers in small numbers, but with the development of society and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the market price of these chickens has been rising, and demand has exceeded supply. In recent years, other meat chicken breeds have often been out of favor in the market, but the classic yellow-type three-yellow chickens remain in high demand. This breed has poor production performance and is difficult to raise, especially when raising it on a large scale. It is necessary to maintain the elegant appearance and excellent meat quality of the chicken flock while achieving ideal economic benefits, which requires different feeding and management methods compared to other breeds. To rapidly develop large-scale production of classic yellow-type three-yellow chickens to meet market demand and help raisers achieve higher profits, I have compiled this book based on my 16 years of experience in researching and producing this breed. This book systematically introduces the scientific feeding and management methods of classic yellow-type three-yellow chickens, with a focus on feeding methods combined with fruit and forest production, enabling raisers to achieve the best results with the lowest feeding costs.
