At the age of 42, he made a firm resolution and immersed himself in books. Over 8 years, he successively edited and wrote parts of "Biographies of Chancellors of China in Ancient Times," "Literary Chancellors of China in Ancient Times," "Military Chancellors of China in Ancient Times," "Armed Chancellors of China in Ancient Times," "Second Place Holders of China in Ancient Times," and "Third Place Holders of China in Ancient Times" for the Ming Dynasty. He independently selected and annotated the Ming Dynasty volumes of "Poetry of Chancellors of China in Ancient Times," "Poetry of Second Place Holders of China in Ancient Times," and "Poetry of Third Place Holders of China in Ancient Times." The long and splendid history and culture of China's 5,000 years have produced many renowned scientists, military strategists, writers, and artists in various fields. Among them, the Chancellors, Second Place Holders, and Third Place Holders were "top three" figures produced through the tiered examination system of the imperial examination. Through extensive research into classical texts and historical records and comprehensive, the author has unearthed some poems of the Chancellors during the Ming Dynasty. This fully demonstrates the trends and various schools of poetry at the time and recreates the unique life experiences and joys and sorrows of the Chancellors' official careers. The book stands out for its complete roster of figures, diverse themes, rigorous selection and annotation, and varied styles. It is highly readable, collectible, and practical, making it particularly valuable. The series is published in installments, not only enriching the literary treasury of traditional Chinese culture but also filling a gap in the study of imperial examination figures.
