The core content of this book is the systematic research and critique of TCM. These articles are the result of Yu Yunxiu's thorough study of the theory and practice of TCM. Therefore, an elderly TCM practitioner from Jiangsu once said: "Everyone knows that the Western medicine pioneer Yu Yunxiu opposed TCM, but his research in the field of TCM is quite solid, far beyond the reach of ordinary TCM practitioners."
Some praised his articles as a monumental work "unprecedented in the past and unmatched in the future." The reason it is "unprecedented in the past" is that the old medicine practitioners of that time lacked modern knowledge, making it impossible for them to speak of contemporary studies. As for "unmatched in the future," it remains to be seen whether the new medical field will still have someone who reads such old medical classics and writes such articles, engaging in a battle of knowledge against fallacious and heretical claims.
