Features: This textbook was developed in accordance with the spirit of the Ministry of Education's "Opinions on the Construction and Reform of Textbook Development in Ordinary Higher Education During the 10th Five-Year Plan Period," to meet the needs of the development of higher traditional Chinese medicine education in China. It was compiled by the New Century National Higher Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges Textbook Compilation Committee. This book is intended for use by students majoring in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Tuina, Orthopedics, and Nursing. During the compilation process, efforts were made to ensure that the content was scientifically sound, systematic, and advanced, while also highlighting the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine colleges. For example: one chapter in the book is titled " of Commonly Used and Dangerous Acupoints," and the appendix includes records of anatomy in traditional Chinese medicine, a comparison of ancient and modern anatomical terms, and the section on "Surface Landmarks" explains the bony, muscular, and skin pattern landmarks relevant to acupuncture point location, as well as the relationship between acupuncture and central nervous system localization and conduction pathways, all of which are features of this book. Additionally, a "Laboratory Guide for Anatomy" has been compiled to accompany the textbook, allowing classroom content to be closely integrated with cadaver specimens and models, which helps reinforce learning. The book uses a large and small font layout, with the larger font indicating important content and the smaller font for reference material. While emphasizing key points, the book also includes a small amount of supplementary material for extracurricular study, and universities can adjust and select content based on their teaching syllabus requirements and actual conditions. All illustrations in the book were redrawn by Yan Weiquan, a senior art teacher from the Art Department of Xuhui Teacher Training College in Shanghai.
