Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Catalogue Volume Thirteen

Author: Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Appraisal Group
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 1996-05-01
Features: The thirteenth volume of Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Catalogue. It compiles outstanding works selected by the Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Appraisal Group during their nationwide tours for appraisal. All works included are reproduced from the original photographs. This volume features selected collections appraised by the Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Appraisal Group in nine units in Sichuan Province and Chongqing City in 1989, totaling 816 pieces. The works within each unit are arranged by historical dynasties of China, with artists ordered by their lifespans within each dynasty. For artists whose lifespans span two dynasties, their works are attributed to the traditional historical dynasty. Works by the same artist are arranged by their self-proclaimed creation dates, with those without dates placed after those with dates. Anonymous works or those with unknown creators or birth and death years are placed at the end of each era. Due to layout constraints, there may be some inconsistencies in the plate order. Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Catalogue only selects outstanding works from Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Directory, so the numbering of works in Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Catalogue is not continuous. For the convenience of readers, the corresponding entries from Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Directory are appended at the end of Ancient Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Catalogue.
