Features: With the development of society, the acceleration of the aging process, and changes in the disease spectrum, medicine has shifted from purely treating diseases to a new "quadruple integration" model of prevention, health maintenance, treatment, and rehabilitation. This textbook aims to help medical students grasp some basic knowledge of rehabilitation medicine. For medical students preparing to pursue a career in rehabilitation medicine, it is essential to first build a solid foundation in clinical medicine. After one to two years of clinical medical practice, they should then engage in postgraduate education to study 3-5 years of specialized knowledge in rehabilitation medicine before becoming qualified professional rehabilitation physicians. This approach is currently recognized internationally as the standard pathway for cultivating specialized rehabilitation doctors, while also enabling the training of rehabilitation physicians in China to quickly align with international standards. This textbook endeavors to briefly introduce the latest, relatively mature, and widely recognized theories and techniques, and it also hopes to foster a forward-thinking perspective on rehabilitation medicine among medical students.
