Features: According to the guiding principles for compiling the fifth round of planning teaching materials for pharmacy majors in higher medical colleges across the country, considering the systematic nature of physics as a foundational discipline, and since the third edition already included modern physics content such as relativity, particle physics, and astrophysics, this edition of the textbook has been revised in the following aspects: 1. Given that "electronics" is a distinct discipline from "physics," the seventeenth chapter "Fundamentals of Electronic Technology" has been removed in this revision. 2. The following chapters have been supplemented and revised: In Chapter 2 (Relativity), the "Twin Paradox" has been added; the "Superposition of Simple Harmonic Vibrations" in Chapter 4 (Vibration and Wave) has been expanded into a separate section; a new section on "Surface Phenomena of Liquids" has been added to Chapter 5 (Molecular Physics); in Chapter 6 (Electrostatic Field), the original several examples have been merged and revised into the third section "Conductors in Electrostatic Fields"; in Chapter 7 (Direct Current Electricity), the section has been supplemented with "Electrolytic Conduction," and the second section has been supplemented with "Electromotive Force of a Source and Ohm's Law for Active Circuits"; in Chapter 8 (Magnetic Field), "Work Done by Magnetic Torque" has been added; in Chapter 10 (Wave Nature of Light), "Resolution Power of Microscopes" and "Circularly Polarized Light and Elliptically Polarized Light" have been added, along with supplementary illustrations; in Chapter 12 (Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics), the content of the "Wave Function and Schr?dinger Equation" section has been revised, reducing mathematical derivations and making the text simpler and clearer. 3. In Chapters , nine, eleven, and twelve, biographical introductions of physicists such as Newton, Maxwell, Faraday, Einstein, and Bohr have been added. 4. The appendix has been supplemented with "Vector Analysis" and "International System of Units" for reference by readers.
