Features: Since the beginning of the 21st century, with the transformation of the medical model and people's renewed understanding of health, there is a growing desire to comprehensively improve physical and mental health as well as social adaptability. Chronic infectious diseases, geriatric diseases, and accidental injuries can be prevented, treated, and rehabilitated. As a medical discipline that enhances quality of life, rehabilitation medicine is gradually being accepted by society. Therefore, as a clinical medicine student in a medical specialty college, one should not only master the prevention and treatment of general diseases but also acquire knowledge and skills in rehabilitation medicine. Offering the "Rehabilitation Medicine" course in the clinical medicine program of medical specialty colleges has adapted to the development of contemporary medical education. "Rehabilitation Medicine" was written in accordance with the principles and opinions of the "Clinical Medical Specialty College Textbook Review Committee of the Ministry of Health" regarding the fifth revision of the planned textbooks for the clinical medicine program. This book closely aligns with the training objectives of three-year clinical medicine students in medical specialty colleges. In terms of content arrangement, it emphasizes the cultivation of "Three Basics" (basic theories, fundamental knowledge, and basic skills) and "Five Qualities" (ideological nature, scientific rigor, advanced concepts, inspirational teaching, and applicability).
