Features: This volume is the eleventh of the Commercial Law Colloquium and the second volume of 2006. Since its inception, the colloquium has been published with varying intervals between volumes due to various reasons. Starting this year, it will be published in two volumes annually, typically one in the first half of the year and one in the second half. Since the first volume was released, it has been customary to write a few words upon completion of each volume, usually placed at the beginning, hence the title "Preface to the Volume." Previously, the content of "Preface to the Volume" generally included two aspects: first, stating the purpose and principles of the Commercial Law Colloquium, such as "rooted in the development and improvement of Chinese commercial law, extensively drawing on and absorbing the development experience and case law and doctrines of foreign commercial law, tracking the trends of foreign commercial law, promoting research on commercial law topics, advancing the discipline of commercial law, and ultimately serving commercial legislation and judicial practice." Second, introducing and recommending the sections and articles of the entire volume. The "Preface to the Volume" of the previous ten volumes consistently followed this practice. Obviously, repeating the same content multiple times would give the impression of stagnation. Starting with the eleventh volume, the cover design has been innovated. Taking this opportunity, some reforms to the Commercial Law Colloquium are also being considered. Although each volume of the Colloquium must adhere to the established purpose and principles, there is no need to repeat them in every issue. The sections and content are reflected within the Colloquium—as long as each article is read, the reader will have a full understanding of each section, eliminating the need for repetitive introductions like a "shop assistant." So, should a few words still be written upon completion of each volume's editing? I believe they should, but the content should not be as described above. Instead, it should consist of a few words that the editors genuinely wish to convey. Obviously, what is to be said each time need not be the same, and it can be long or short. In this sense, "Preface to the Volume" can be changed to "Foreword." The theme of the "Foreword" for this volume is: current research on corporate law should emphasize the application of "hermeneutics."
