The full English name of MBA is Master of Business Administration. As a degree, MBA originated in the United States in the 20th century, aiming to cultivate professional managers who understand scientific management. Throughout its history, MBA has emerged from the realities of economic management, evolved with the development of the economy and society, but ultimately remains rooted in the management practices of economic organizations. In its original sense, MBA is an educational approach to training professional business managers, which is the value recognized by society and the market.
Premier Zhu Rongji once stated: "Now is the time to vigorously advocate improving China's management and developing China's management science. It is indeed essential to emphasize the scientific nature of management and the importance of management education as a path to national prosperity." As scholars in management and institutions dedicated to MBA training and education, our pursuit is to combine practical management theories with vivid examples from Chinese enterprises, exploring a management approach that suits China's national conditions and the current state of Chinese enterprises.
Given our mission and aspirations, we define our role as a resource integrator. In the compilation of China MBA Classic Cases, we adhere to the following principles:
(1) Selecting and structuring the book based on the practical needs of managers.
(2) Leveraging Beijing's advantage as a cultural hub to integrate numerous professional experts and scholars, summarizing corporate experiences and refining them into excellent cases.
(3) Each case is derived from actual research and interviews with enterprises, offering readers and managers valuable insights into the operations of China's most outstanding enterprises.
(4) Meeting the need for communication among MBA researchers by establishing a dedicated virtual space on a website for unlimited interaction.
(5) All cases included in this book have been certified by the respective enterprises.
The book is divided into six sections: Strategy, Marketing, Capital Operations, Organizational and Human Resource Management, Corporate Culture, and Comprehensive Cases, totaling 400,000 words and 36 classic cases. Each case consists of a case study and case reflection, with the former introducing a specific management feature of the enterprise and the latter providing in-depth analysis of the relevant subjects.
