Features: The core argument of this book is encapsulated in the subtitle "Flowing Open Forms of Thought." Chapter 1 is a general introduction, elaborating on the subtitle, while the following seven chapters provide specific explanations and arguments based on the seven core texts. At the end of each chapter, there is a categorized compilation of previous scholarly views on the thought and structure of Zhuangzi. In the drafting phase, this section was used as an overview introduction at the beginning of each chapter. The current arrangement aims to be more direct, making the author's perspective clearer. Placing the categorized references at the end of each chapter also serves as a reference library for fellow scholars. The citations of Zhuangzi in this book are based on Zhuangzi Jishi compiled by Guo Qingfan and edited by Wang Xiaoyu, but the punctuation and chapter divisions have been adjusted according to the author's preferences. For citations from Zhuangzi-related works, general annotations do not provide additional notes; their publication dates can be found in the references. The chapter titles of this book are quite clumsy. The author genuinely couldn't think of titles that convey the meaning clearly while also being as elegant as Zhuangzi. Perhaps this also aligns with the linguistic style of the book.
