Rujiao Going Global: Bibliography (Volume 1 and 2)

Author: Zhu Renfu, Qiu Shaoxiong
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2003-06-01
Features: Since its inception over 2,500 years ago, Confucianism has been spreading to neighboring countries and overseas. Research works and papers on Confucian studies published abroad include some in Chinese, some translated, and some in foreign languages. Embassies of Chinese and foreign courts, frontier historians, Confucian scholars, overseas students, and missionaries all participated in this process, forming a strong current of world cultural exchange. In recent years, Taiwan has published books such as A Catalog of Confucian Studies in Japan and A Catalog of Academic Works on Japanese Studies, while mainland China has yet to collect and organize similar materials. Based on this, starting from 1996, with the strong support and assistance of relevant personnel at the National Library (formerly Beijing Library) and Peking University Library, we collected and compiled catalogs of works and papers on the global spread of Confucianism, assembling them into a book titled A Catalog of Confucian Studies Spreading to the World. Due to the lack of collection in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas, the catalog is quite limited.
