Features: School curriculum is a product of the social era, reflecting the characteristics of social history and changing with the shifts in social conditions. Human society is about to enter the 21st century. The 21st century will be a highly internationalized, technologically advanced, and diversified knowledge economy era. In the new century, the historical boundaries between countries still exist, but due to the globalization of the world economy, the highly developed technology, transportation, and information, today's world has formed a global village where all humanity lives together. Many issues, such as environmental protection, resource allocation, natural disasters, and the global economy, will make the world an era of rapid change, full of competition and challenges, as well as opportunities and hope. With the changing world situation, the role of education must not remain unchanged, and school curriculum must be reformed. Since the late 20th century, educational and curriculum reforms have been vigorously carried out in various countries. The common characteristics of this worldwide reform are: emphasizing the humanistic aspect of curriculum; striving for the life-oriented nature of curriculum; focusing on the integration of curriculum; strengthening the flexibility of curriculum; vigorously developing school-based curriculum; and prioritizing the cultivation of creative abilities. To achieve such reform goals, contemporary societies, especially in Asian countries and regions, have implemented major transformations in existing curricula and teaching methods, conducted curriculum redesign, and made efforts to build a new school culture, while vigorously reforming traditional views on knowledge, curriculum, teaching, evaluation, and students.
