Features: Technological progress and innovation have become the primary driving forces for economic and social development. Independent innovation capability is now a central focus in adjusting economic structures, transforming growth models, and enhancing national competitiveness. Building innovative nations and regions will be a major strategic goal for the future. The author's research experience and work background have made him more focused on the actual conditions and specific needs of industrial technological progress in China. From the second half of 2002 to the early part of 2005, he worked at the China Center for Science and Technology Promotion Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology, directly participating in and coordinating many research projects on China's science and technology development strategy and policy issues. This provided him with an opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to China's science and technology development policies. He found that without combining the theory of technological innovation, the theory of public policy, and the uniqueness of China's science and technology development, it would be difficult to reveal the inherent characteristics of industrial technological progress in China. Therefore, he closely integrated this research with the development status and policy realities of China's industrial technological progress, hoping to find a local path to enhance the independent innovation capabilities of Chinese enterprises. This may be one of the distinctive features of this work. In this book, he did not pursue theoretical perfection but instead focused on different levels of industrial technological progress in China, attempting to reflect some characteristics of China's industrial technological progress and science and technology policies through relatively independent "fragments."
