How is the surgery for hepatoblastoma?

Patient's question:

Last year, when I had a physical check-up, I discovered that I had hepatoblastoma. Based on the doctor's advice, I adjusted my body, and with the recent surgery I underwent, I have basically recovered my health. I would like to ask how long can a person live after being treated for this disease?

Doctor's answer:

Hepatoblastoma is a malignant embryonal tumor with multiple differentiation patterns. Treatment primarily involves surgical resection, combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Minimally invasive interventional procedures can also be adopted. The extent of surgical resection is directly related to prognosis. Monitoring alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels in response to surgery and chemotherapy can predict the disease's prognosis. Other relatively favorable prognostic factors include unilobar involvement and fetal histology.
