Publish Date: 2002-04-01
Features: One day, a former cultural worker called, wanting to compile some fairy tales with large content and low price for children. He thought that the fairy tales on the market, often costing hundreds or even thousands of yuan per set, were beyond the reach of ordinary working families, except for the wealthy. He wanted to compile and shorten some time-honored fairy tales to provide children with a cost-effective spiritual quick meal. As publishers, how to produce books for children and adolescents, especially for those rural children who have not yet escaped poverty, is a topic that has been on our minds. By coincidence, we discussed it piece by piece and launched "Selected Famous Foreign Fairy Tales" and "Selected Famous Chinese Fairy Tales." To ensure large content, the articles were abridged while preserving the original meaning. Due to involving many authors, the copyright liaison work was particularly troublesome, and we managed to contact some of them to the best of our ability. However, some authors remain uncontacted. We kindly ask the relevant authors to understand our original intention and contact us promptly. May this book bring children the joy of childhood and inspire them with honesty, self-motivation, and courage.
