Features: "Enterprise Strategic Management" has been introduced as a course in China for nearly 20 years. During this period, China's economic system has undergone a tremendous transformation—from a planned economy to one primarily planned with market regulation as a supplement, and then to a socialist market economy. Our enterprise reforms have also experienced a leap from contract and leasing to the transformation of operational mechanisms and the establishment of modern enterprise systems. These major changes have actively driven the development of strategic management research in China, gradually leading both scholars and practitioners to a clearer understanding of strategic management. Currently, our management institutions are offering "Enterprise Strategic Management" as a required course, and some large companies have also established corresponding departments such as strategic development divisions—all reflecting the continuous deepening of our understanding of strategic management. However, these are still just formal matters. The key lies in how to draw on foreign theories under China's economic conditions, especially within its cultural context, to develop strategic management theories that address the development challenges of Chinese enterprises and truly solve their practical problems. The author sincerely hopes to lay the groundwork for strategic management research, enabling our research and practice in this field to form a better situation. This book is based on my previous edition of "Enterprise Strategic Management" (1998), with substantial additions and deletions in both chapter structure and content to incorporate more updated knowledge in line with the current development of strategic management theory and practice, as well as practical teaching needs.
