Located about 2 kilometers south of Yangshuo County town in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Yangshuo Ten-Mile Gallery covers an area of approximately 30 square kilometers. It is a unique scenic area where tourism and local community life coexist.
The area is rich in tourism resources, spanning 7 main categories—including geological landscapes, water scenery, biological landscapes, historical sites, architecture and facilities, tourism commodities, and cultural activities. These encompass 15 sub-categories, 27 basic types, and 81 individual resource entities. Developed attractions within the gallery include Butterfly Spring, Totem Ancient Path, Big Banyan Tree, Yulong River, Jianshan Temple, Julong (Poly Dragon) Cave, Moon Hill, Bodhisattva Water Cave, and Longmen Water Cave.
The scenery along the Ten-Mile Gallery is picturesque, blending the unique karst geological landscapes of the region—such as peaks, caves, and underground rivers—to provide visitors with a rich visual experience. Beyond being a hub for natural landscapes, it is also a convergence of culture and folk customs. It preserves the traditional architectural style of northern Guangxi and the culture of ethnic minorities, offering visitors a window into local traditions. The development of tourism here has also injected new vitality into the local economy.
The Yangshuo County Government began integrating and developing the Ten-Mile Gallery scenic area in 2007, and launched in-depth comprehensive development of the area starting in 2010.
