Features: The article "A New Exploration of the 'Jiangdu Incident' during the Later Sui Dynasty" was originally published in Issue 1 of Journal of Humanities in 1995, with approximately 6,000 words (the original manuscript was around 10,000 words). Due to significant, it does not fully reflect the author's views on the "Jiangdu Incident," and the arguments in many places also appear. Therefore, for this book, the author restored the original appearance of the manuscript based on the old draft and carefully verified the citations. "A Reassessment of 'Tang Wuzong's Suppression of Ze Lu'" follows the idea that "power struggles are a key to studying Tang political history," and reflects the author's thoughts on political issues during the reigns of Tang Wuzong and Xuanzong. The two papers included in this book, "On the Administrative System Construction during the Huichang Period" and "A Brief Discussion on Eunuchs during the Huichang Period" (respectively published in Chinese Historical Studies in Issue 1 of 1997 and Journal of Historical Studies in Issue 1 of 2001), are both part of a master's thesis. The article "Causes and Effects of the 'Yingzhou Incident'" included in this book was published in Bulletin of Shaanxi Historical Museum, Issue 8.
