These works offer new insights into both Li Xinchuan the person and his writings, serving as valuable references. Li Xinchuan's main historical works, apart from this book, include the "Comprehensive Annals of the Later Jin Dynasty" and the "Verification of Ancient Accounts." The "Comprehensive Annals" comprises 200 volumes, documenting the 36 years of the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty. Its sources primarily draw from the imperial calendars of Emperor Gaozong's reign and the "Comprehensive Annals of the Restoration," with extensive references to original archival materials and private writings. These materials were meticulously examined and verified by Li Xinchuan, ensuring a high degree of reliability.
