Joan of Arc claimed to be guided by divine instruction, leading French soldiers into battle and defeating the English with overwhelming force, liberating the city of Orléans, which was on the verge of falling into English hands, and assisting Charles VII in ascending to the throne. However, she was later executed for heresy. Although Joan of Arc's life was extremely short, it was tragic, sacred, and brilliant. Even today, it is likely that no one has accomplished such a great mission with such a young life.
Joan of Arc's life was filled with legends. Although she was just an ordinary peasant girl, she, driven by her love for religion and her nation, demonstrated extraordinary courage and wisdom, sacrificing her personal strength to ultimately restore France's honor and lead it back to unity.
