Features: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Traumatology is a course that applies the theories and diagnostic methods of TCM to study bone, joint, and surrounding muscle injuries and diseases. This textbook was compiled based on the spirit of the New Century National Higher TCM Textbook Construction Work Conference held by the National TCM Administration and the National TCM Textbook Construction Research Association, as well as the formulated teaching syllabus. The purpose of studying this course is to enable students, after systematically learning the basic courses of TCM, to understand and master the fundamental theories of TCM orthopedics and traumatology, as well as the basic methods for diagnosing and treating orthopedic and traumatological diseases, laying a solid foundation for clinical practice in TCM or orthopedic traumatology. The book is divided into two parts: the Upper Part and the Lower Part. The Upper Part introduces the brief history of TCM traumatology, classification and etiology of injuries, clinical diagnosis, treatment methods, and emergency trauma care; the Lower Part includes fractures, dislocations, musculoskeletal injuries, internal injuries, and bone diseases, basically summarizing the content of TCM traumatology. The use of this textbook requires the integration of theory with practice, emphasizing both the systematic nature of TCM and the academic characteristics of traumatology, adhering to the principle of "less but better," with a focus on "quality." It aims to cultivate and enhance students' dialectical thinking methods and clinical practice skills. Teaching should make full use of modern teaching equipment such as X-ray films, slides, diagrams, physical specimens, multimedia, movies, and video recordings to implement visual and heuristic teaching, improving teaching effectiveness and cultivating a new generation of high-quality applied TCM traumatology talents.
