The 14 editorial committee members of this textbook hold significant positions in the field and possess extensive teaching experience. Based on the previous edition, this textbook has been substantially enriched and revised. The book is divided into eleven chapters and contains seventy-seven sections. New additions include AIDS, bronchiectasis, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac death, myocardial diseases, pericarditis, infectious endocarditis, irritable bowel syndrome, hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia, dyslipidemia and hyperlipoproteinemia, migraine, Parkinson's disease, dementia syndrome, depression, acute carbon monoxide poisoning, acute alcohol poisoning, other common toxic and drug poisoning, and heatstroke. Deletions include Leptospirosis, pneumothorax, and some peripheral nerve diseases. Most content has been updated and enriched, such as pathogenesis, diagnostic methods, and treatment measures. This textbook strives to be concise, adjusting the depth and breadth of content—whether simple or complex, refined or rough, new or old—based on changes in the disease spectrum. Therefore, chapters have been added without increasing the overall length.
