Features: This book is divided into three major parts, totaling twenty chapters. The first part addresses macro-level issues in the labor market, including labor supply, labor demand, labor market structure, employment, and unemployment. The second part provides cases on human capital investment. Human capital investment is a very important research area in labor economics, and the cases collected in this part cover three major aspects: educational and training resources, labor mobility, and labor wages. The educational and training investment cases are multi-level, including higher education, primary education, and corporate training, and they are also multi-dimensional, including private investment, public investment, interpersonal relationships, and human capital assessment. For labor mobility, the book provides cases on international mobility, domestic mobility, internal corporate mobility, and rural labor transfer (industrial mobility). The labor wage cases are exceptionally rich and very interesting. The third part is about labor-management relations cases. Narrowly speaking, labor-management relations can be considered an independent discipline, but broadly speaking, it is part of labor economics.
