Features: This revision was conducted based on extensive feedback from teachers across the country who have used this series of teaching materials, as well as opinions gathered from tens of thousands of students and teachers through questionnaires. The University Foreign Language Teaching Guidance Committee provided comprehensive guidance and assistance in revising this textbook. The purpose of the revision is "facing the 21st century, elevating college English teaching to a new level." The revised edition makes appropriate adjustments to the texts based on the specific conditions of each tutorial, improves the coverage rate of curriculum vocabulary and the frequency of common vocabulary, further refines exercises, and emphasizes the practice of key words. At the same time, it strengthens the horizontal connections between the various tutorials of Guoqiang, ensuring that each is self-contained yet mutually complementary, forming a cohesive whole. The revised edition pays more attention to the general applicability across disciplines such as humanities, science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine, striving to lay a solid "broad, deep, and firm" language foundation for students.
Part A is for single-point listening skill training (PARTAMicro-Listening), Part B is for discourse-based listening skill training (PARTBMacro-Listening), and Part C is for oral practice (PARTCOralPractice). Students are required to preview this section. The exercises are completed in class and do not require prior preparation.
