Features: The adjustment of the body is the adjustment of the four major aspects. When the four aspects are harmonized, the body remains healthy and comfortable. The purpose of maintaining proper posture is to align the mind. When the body is upright, the mind follows suit; when the mind is upright, the body aligns accordingly. Posture and mental focus influence each other, with body posture affecting breath, which in turn affects the mind, ultimately influencing the health of the body. The movement of the body primarily trains the tendons, bones, and flesh; while the stillness of the body primarily cultivates the essential energy—essence, spirit, and qi—on which life depends. Simply put, meditation is a highly concentrated practice of directing one's attention. Buddhism offers profound and meticulous insights into the human body and mind, as well as their ailments. For example, by analyzing human physical and mental health from the perspectives of the six great elements and the eighteen aggregates, it provides a more rigorous and logical theoretical framework than the Five Elements or Yin-Yang theories.
