Features: The "Four Medical Classics" systematically, comprehensively, and scientifically summarizes the basic theories and clinical experiences of Tibetan medicine. It is not only a monumental work of Tibetan medical science but also a monumental work of Tibetan medical wellness. Many chapters in the book systematically explain the content of Tibetan wellness, such as "Daily Living Habits," "Seasonal Living Habits," "Temporary Living Habits," "Food," "Food taboos," "Moderate Eating," "Preventing Aging," and "Boosting Yang." To promote health and longevity, it advocates paying attention to diet and daily routines, enhancing nutrition, and exercising regularly. The elderly and frail are also encouraged to take tonics to strengthen their bodies. The book provides detailed descriptions of matters to note regarding daily routines, seasonal climates, and personal activities, as well as health and hygiene knowledge for women during menstruation, pregnancy, and postpartum periods. It also explains the properties and uses of various grains, legumes, meats, beverages (milk, alcohol, drinking water), and vegetables consumed by the Tibetan people. In terms of drinking water quality, it is believed that spring water is the best, while water flowing from forests is the worst. Drinking water that is exposed to little sunlight, salty, has many insects, or has soaked in decaying trees can lead to illness.
